Where we started

Apartman u luci Sali on Dugi otok was listed on Airbnb. Looking at the photos, one thing was clear: it is three metres from the front door to the sea, and guests have to feel that the moment they open the site.

What we made

• A calm film at the top. The house on the waterfront, the harbour through the window and the sea at the door: real photos of the apartment, brought to life.
• The rooms land on a pile. As the guest scrolls, each room slides in from the right onto the pile, and one tap opens it full screen.
• Three metres, step by step. The guest holds a button and walks from the door to the sea, with the metres counting up.
• Everything on foot. Walking distances to the sea, the bakery and the shop, written out right away.
• A map only on request. The Google map loads only when the guest asks for it, so until then the page sends nobody anything about them.
• Dates, price, enquiry. The calendar knows the seasonal prices and the four-night minimum, and the enquiry goes straight to the host, with no commission.
• Four languages. English, German, Italian and Croatian.
• A credit in the footer. The site’s footer credits Zauzeto.
